Fort van Breendonk

Fort van Breendonk near Willebroek, south of Antwerp, is a partly buried fortress built in 1906-1913 that served as a notorious SS prison camp during the Second World War. Its stark, massive concrete architecture makes it a powerful subject for documentary photography today.
