Kasteel van Male

Maele Castle was once the residence of the Counts of Flanders, situated in what is now the Bruges suburb of Sint-Kruis. Largely destroyed in the Second World War and subsequently rebuilt, it went on to house the Benedictine community of St. Trudo's Abbey for decades.
