Kasteel van Franchimont

This striking fortress ruin has crowned a rocky outcrop above the Hoëgne valley since the eleventh century, near the Ardennes municipality of Theux. Its weathered walls and dramatic setting make it a favourite subject for atmospheric landscape photography.
