Kasteel Merckenburg

Merckenburg Castle, also known as Heukelum Castle, is a brick castle in the Gelderland village of Heukelum with roots reaching back to the 13th century. Destroyed twice in its history, including by French forces during the disaster year of 1672, it was each time rebuilt and restored.
