Kasteel Amerongen

Amerongen Castle stands in the floodplain of the Nederrijn and was rebuilt between 1674 and 1680 after French troops destroyed its medieval predecessor. It was here that German Kaiser Wilhelm II signed his abdication in 1918, before moving on to Huis Doorn.
