Hortus Botanicus Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam

North Holland· Park
Description

The Botanic Garden Zuidas, known until 2016 as the Vrije Universiteit's Hortus Botanicus, was laid out in 1967 to support teaching and research for the biology faculty. Tucked behind the VU Medical Centre, its compact hectare includes roughly a thousand square metres of glasshouses, and though its teaching role ended in 1988 the university still maintains the grounds today.
