Het Steen

Built between 1200 and 1225, Het Steen is Antwerp's oldest surviving building, the remnant of a medieval fortress on the banks of the Scheldt. Today the gatehouse serves as the city's tourist welcome centre and offers a distinctive riverside silhouette.
