Erasmusbrug

South Holland· Bridge
Description

The Erasmusbrug spans the Nieuwe Maas in Rotterdam, linking the Kop van Zuid district with the city centre. Built between 1986 and 1996 as a combined cable-stayed and bascule bridge and named after Erasmus, it has become an instantly recognisable icon, especially popular with photographers at sunset.
