bos van La Houssière

Bos van La Houssière lies on the border between Hainaut and Walloon Brabant, mostly within the territory of Braine-le-Comte, and is a remnant of the historic Kolenwoud that once also included the Sonian Forest. Logging and sand extraction long ago separated it from that larger woodland; today it covers about 650 hectares between the villages of Henripont, Ronquières and Virginal-Samme.
