Bad Nieuweschans

Bad Nieuweschans is the easternmost place in the Netherlands, on the border with Germany in the province of Groningen. Since 2009 it has carried the prefix 'Bad' after its spa resort, and the layout of its former fortifications is still clearly visible in the village.
