Abdij van Lobbes

The Sint-Pietersabdij of Lobbes was a prestigious Benedictine abbey in Hainaut, near Thuin, traditionally founded around 645 by Saint Landelin. For centuries it played an important role within the Prince-Bishopric of Liège, until French revolutionaries set it ablaze in 1794.
